Abstract

|
Eighty-four Rh negative pregnant women who were delivered between July 1st 1980 to June 1st 1990 in Hanyang University Hospital were reviewed. The results were as follows; 1. Among 18.041 patients who delivered at Hanyang University Hospital in same period, 84 patients were Rh negative, thus the incidence was 0.47%. 2. In 84 Rh negative patients, 7 patients were sensitized (8.3%). As increasing the numbers of gravida and abortion, the Rh sensitization rate was also increased. 3. Despite of general consideration, the Rh sensitization rate in ABO incompatible cases (25%) was higher than the rate in ABO compatible cases (7.4%). 4. The perinatal mortality rate of Rh sensitized babies was high(14.3%).
